Lucy Wainwright Roche Lucy Wainwright Roche Roche was a teacher in NYC for several years but went into music full-time in 2007, touring with her father Loudon Wainwright III, her half-brother Rufus Wainwright and many other musical acts. Also in 2007, Roche released an EP titled 8 Songs. In 2008 she released a follow-up EP called 8 More which featured a duet with actress Martha Plimpton. In early 2009, Roche's song Snare Drum won in The 8th Annual Independent Music Awards for Best Folk/Singer-Songwriter Song. [1] In 2009, Roche was one of six winners of the Grassy Hill Kerrville Folk Festival New Folk Singer Songwriter Competition.[2] As of Fall 2009, she is about to start to start work on a new album.

Founded by former Vio-Lence guitarist Robert Flynn and Adam Duce, and has only had 3 personnel changes since its inception 17 years ago. The current lineup of the band comprises Flynn (vocals, guitar), Duce (bass), Phil Demmel (guitar), and Dave McClain (drums). Machine Head is one of the pioneering bands in the New Wave of American Heavy Metal.

In early 2000, he was caught forging prescriptions and sent to county jail, losing his car, his home, his money and all his possessions. By the age of 20, Hinson was a bankrupt ex-con, living in a motel and working in telemarketing. But as news of this gifted singer-songwriter began to spread on the strength of his 2004 debut album, ...And The Gospel Of Progress, a tap on the back from a friend on a night out bizarrely resulted in a dislocated vertebrae - and more pain medication.

Monsters Of Folk Monsters Of Folk Monsters of Folk is an American supergroup, consisting of Jim James from My Morning Jacket, Conor Oberst and Mike Mogis from Bright Eyes and M. Ward. The band was formed in 2004 when the members were on tour with their respective bands and solo projects. After playing together both on-stage and backstage, they started working together on various material. Due to the members' main projects, Monsters of Folk did not wrap up their first album until 2009, and it was released on September 22 on Rough Trade.
